Techleap selects 9 scaleups for growth through its exclusive Rise programme

Amsterdam, 29.04.2024 – Techleap for Scaleups today announced that 9 scaleups have been chosen to join the 13th cohort of its flagship Rise programme. The programme supports promising scaleups based in the Netherlands through peer-to-peer learning and tailored sessions led by experienced entrepreneurs and experts.

The Rise programme targets major challenges faced by scaleups, such as attracting capital and expanding internationally. Since its inception, participants have raised hundreds of millions in capital and expanded internationally. As these scaleups continue to grow in size and revenue, their innovations increasingly benefit society and bolster the economy.

The following scaleups have been selected for the 13th Rise programme:

  • The Selection Lab is an innovative platform utilising AI and video as new standards for recruitment processes, focusing on objective data and inclusion.
  • Vonwood makes the timber trade more efficient by offering a marketplace for buyers and sellers of large quantities of wood.
  • Transferz commits itself as a global marketplace for travellers, travel agencies, and transfer companies to facilitate land transportation.
  • Aquablu develops a smart water dispenser to replace bottled water and canned beverages with a plastic-free solution.
  • Chordify is a search engine for songs and chords, making it easier to learn music.
  • Quantware provides quantum processors that enable organisations to build quantum computers more quickly and efficiently.
  • Breeze is a dating app that moves dates offline as quickly and safely as possible by organising the first meeting.
  • Valyuu is a marketplace for the circular economy, assisting people in buying and selling second-hand consumer electronics.
  • Agriplace offers a responsible purchasing method for wholesale and retailers in food products, sharing data on compliance and impact, thereby eliminating unnecessary work for suppliers.

“The 13th cohort of the Rise programme once again brings together some of the most talented entrepreneurs who are making a difference in society with innovative tech solutions,” said Dylan Richts, Head of Community at Techleap. “Previous participants have demonstrated that companies scale up faster when they tackle challenges together and share knowledge under the guidance of experts and experienced practitioners. Together, we are elevating the tech landscape in the Netherlands to a higher level.”

The Rise programme consists of workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions where participants learn from each other to tackle key business challenges. Admission to the programme is based on stringent criteria.

Special guests joining this batch include former LET Award winners Job van der Voort from Remote and Matthijs Welle from Mews, as well as LET nominee Jonas Ruyter from DataSnipper and Otto Verhage from TestGorilla. Each Rise programme invites over 25+ figures from Techleap’s expert network of top operators and founders from companies like Adyen, Picnic, bunq, TomTom, Mollie, Crisp, Miro, Coolblue, and many more.

The Rise programme is developed by Techleap for Scaleups, formerly ‘BOLD’. This exclusive scaleup community includes the most promising tech scaleups in the Netherlands. Besides the Rise programme, Techleap organises multiple other programmes, events, and workshops to bring tech entrepreneurs together, enabling them to grow faster and make a greater impact. Earlier this month, Techleap for Scaleups hosted the prestigious LET Award for the best tech entrepreneur in the Netherlands, which was received by Kees Aarts of Protix.
