We are happy to announce the participants in Techleap’s Pole Position programme, ten deep tech companies are joining Batch 9. Behind every model, every chip, every AI device, there's a physical layer most people never think about: photonics, sensors, secure hardware, precision manufacturing. That's what this batch is about.
Morphotonics
Founded by Hugo da Silva (CEO), Jan Matthijs ter Meulen (CTO, Co-founder), and Bram Titulaer (CDO, Co-founder), Morphotonics is the global leader in large-area nanoimprinting technology, providing the manufacturing infrastructure behind next-generation AI devices. Its precise, scalable platform enables cost-effective fabrication of micro- and nanostructures on large surfaces - from advanced screens for AI-generated content to AI smart glasses. A CES Innovation Award Honoree, Morphotonics serves leading brands across Europe, the United States, and Asia.

MantiSpectra
Founded by Maurangelo Petruzzella (CEO) and Francesco Pagliano (CTO), MantiSpectra is an ISO-9001 certified deep tech scale-up that designs, manufactures, and commercializes ChipSense™ — an award-winning NIR/SWIR hyperspectral sensor chip. The chip enables accurate, real-time, non-destructive material identification across a wide range of applications, from industrial quality control and clinical diagnostics to kitchen appliances and personal health devices.

DENSsolutions
Founded by Hugo Perez, DENSsolutions is a Dutch deep tech company that shrinks an entire laboratory onto a microchip. Using MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) technology, it creates nano-scale laboratories that fit inside electron microscopes, allowing scientists to observe materials and biological processes under real-world conditions - accelerating breakthroughs in semiconductors, sustainable energy, quantum technologies, and life sciences.

GrooveQuantum
Founded by Anne-Marije Zwerver (CEO) and Nico Hendrickx (CTO), Groove Quantum is a Delft-based quantum computing startup building scalable quantum computers to solve society's most complex challenges. While traditional quantum systems struggle to scale, Groove leverages semiconductor germanium qubits that integrate into standard microchip manufacturing. Its compact, CMOS-compatible technology allows quantum chips to be built in existing semiconductor foundries - bridging the gap between lab-scale experiments and commercially viable, million-qubit systems.

Brilliance B.V.
Founded by Douwe Geuzebroek (CTO) and Tim Tiek (CEO), Brilliance B.V. develops and manufactures miniature integrated RGB laser chips for next-generation AR glasses, automotive head-up displays, and other advanced laser display applications. Its patented silicon nitride photonic integrated circuit (PIC) platform and proprietary laser integration technology enable compact, highly efficient, and scalable optical solutions - replacing today's bulky, complex projectors with fully integrated laser chips.

SandGrain BV
Led by Charles Smit (CEO a.i.) and founder Jeroen Doumen, SandGrain BV is a Dutch hardware security company that gives connected devices a low-cost, post-quantum resilient identity through its Trust Anchor IC - a security chip embedded directly into the device. Paired with CyberRock, its cloud-based authentication platform, SandGrain lets manufacturers and enterprises authenticate and manage large device fleets without the cost and complexity of traditional digital certificate systems, making strong, verifiable security practical even for resource-constrained industrial and IoT hardware.

PhotonFirst
Led by Leendert-Jan Nijstad, PhotonFirst is a Dutch deep tech company developing advanced fiber-optic sensing solutions based on integrated photonics for aerospace, naval, defense, infrastructure, and industrial applications. Its compact sensor platforms enable high-performance sensing in environments where conventional technologies fall short, increasing the uptime and reliability of mission-critical assets in some of the world's harshest environments.

Invisix
Founded by Christina Porter (CEO) and Sietse van der Post (CTO), Invisix is an Eindhoven-based deep tech company building advanced measurement tools for the semiconductor industry. As the chips powering the AI boom grow smaller and more complex, manufacturers struggle to build what they can't see. Invisix uses short-wavelength light to measure device features with the accuracy and speed advanced manufacturing demands. Building on more than ten years of soft x-ray metrology R&D at ASML, Invisix is bringing its first tool from the lab to the fab, aiming to become an essential piece of next-generation AI infrastructure.

Photon Bridge
Founded in 2020 in Eindhoven by Rui Santos and Xaveer Leijtens, Photon Bridge set out to rethink how high-performance photonic systems are built at scale. Drawing on deep experience in the integrated photonics ecosystem, the founders identified that monolithic integration, while promising in theory, introduced manufacturing complexity that limited yield, reliability, and scalability. By re-architecting the approach around digital photonic solutions, Photon Bridge dramatically reduces manufacturing complexity while enabling higher-bandwidth, lower-power optical engines, allowing photonic interconnects to scale reliably for next-generation data and communication infrastructure.

TracXon
Founded by Ashok Sridhar, TracXon is a spin-off from TNO developing high-speed, fully additive roll-to-roll manufacturing solutions to replace subtractive, unsustainable printed circuit boards. Its Flexible Hybrid Electronics technology is already replacing traditional PCBs in wearables and physical AI applications.
